Sophisticated Healthcare Litigation
You will work alongside Partner Mark Kiefer, whose nearly 40 year practice focuses on healthcare and medical and professional malpractice.
Mark represents a broad range of healthcare professionals and organizations, including hospitals, physicians, nurses, dentists, psychologists, psychiatrists, skilled nursing facilities, detox centers, correctional healthcare providers, home healthcare professionals, EMTs, and paramedics.
His practice also includes elder abuse, wrongful death, personal injury, and general liability matters.
For an attorney who enjoys the intersection of medicine, law, strategy, experts, and high stakes litigation, this is an opportunity to build deep experience in a sophisticated practice.
Work With a Recognized Medical Malpractice Litigator
Mark brings nearly four decades of litigation experience and is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale Hubbell.
His experience includes litigating the landmark California Supreme Court case Wilson v. Parker, Cover & Chidester, which established the interim adverse judgment rule.
He is also a frequent CE and CLE presenter and previously served as Special Counsel and Managing Partner before joining Tyson & Mendes.
Your Experience Matters Here

We’re looking for someone who can take ownership.
You should be comfortable:
•
Managing sophisticated matters and competing deadlines
•
Developing and executing case strategy
•
Taking and defending depositions
•
Working with medical experts
•
Handling substantive motion practice

Flexibility Without Sacrificing Sophisticated Work
Our Los Angeles practice operates primarily remotely, with attorneys coming together when the work requires it, including court appearances, depositions, trial preparation and client needs.
For an experienced attorney, that means the flexibility to manage your practice while still handling substantive, high level litigation.
You’ve Built Your Experience. Put It to Work.
At this point in your career, you shouldn’t need someone standing over your shoulder.
You need interesting cases, meaningful responsibility, trusted autonomy, flexibility, and experienced lawyers around you when you need them.
Bring your experience to Team LA and help us continue building one of our most sophisticated litigation practices.
