Overview
Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Solutions Architect to support our federal client in Oak Ridge, TN.
Responsibilities
•
Translate Leadership and IT Operations questions and existing tools/systems output into metrics, and identify which source systems hold the data (applications, databases, APIs, monitoring tools, SaaS platforms).
•
Design and build dashboards in Grafana today, and support evaluation of or migration to Dynatrace, Datadog, Power BI or Tableau.
•
Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and semantic models that pull data efficiently and securely from source systems.
•
Apply data governance controls, including row-level and column-level security, least-privilege service accounts, data classification, retention and lineage.
•
Write efficient, well-scoped queries that don’t overload source systems or expose data beyond what’s needed.
•
Deploy and maintain data collection scripts on Linux servers, scheduled with cron or systemd timers.
•
Troubleshoot or communicate potential issues with connectivity and authentication across proxies, TLS, firewalls and APIs.
•
Document data sources, metric definitions, refresh logic and support runbooks.
Qualifications
•
Bachelor’s degree and 10-15 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

U.S. Citizenship is required per contract.
•
