High school diploma or equivalent. Military, trade school or community college coursework in hydraulic-mechanical assembly, repair, and troubleshooting desired.
This position requires a high level of physical flexibility, strength, and stamina, including the ability to: see and assess drawings, photos, and written instructions; audibly hear verbal instructions and mechanical signals (forklifts, cranes, machine alarms, etc.); and speak, read, write, and communicate effectively.
To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, an individual must be willing and able to
· Have full range of body movement: head, neck, shoulders; lift arms overhead; work overhead; reach, lift, push/pull, walk, climb, kneel, bend; good dexterity and range of movement in fingers, hands and wrists.
· Sit for at least three hours.
· Stand on feet for at least three hours.
· Repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
· Maintain confidence and balance while working on ladders up to 12 feet tall.
Must be able to provide an assortment of tools in a rollaway toolbox and steel-toed boots.
