Description
Responsibilities include:
•
setting up, operating, maintaining and cleaning the sterile Extended Shelf Life (ESL) filling equipment
•
monitoring caps, codes, weights and carton integrity
•
tasting products for quality
•
maintaining sterility of equipment related to ESL filling and conveying
•
maintaining sterility in the ESL filling area at all times
•
maintaining a hygienic, tightly controlled environment for the packaging of ESL products
•
disassembling and reassembling fillers and associated equipment for cleaning and ensuring they are safe and sterile
•
manual and hand cleaning of the equipment in the ESL packaging area
•
cleaning the environment of the filling room
•
operating and documenting daily CIP and sterilization activities of the equipment
•
operating the floor cleaner and scrubbing equipment
•
accurately recording daily production data and regulatory information and verifying they are within the established control limits for proper operation
•
performing laboratory tests and monitoring weight control of product
•
producing a quality product in a manner that meets Publix and regulatory standards
•
performing minor repairs, preventative maintenance and mechanical adjustments as needed and
•
other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
The required qualifications for this position include:

10:00pm - 6:30am; Rotating Days off
Work Environment
Temperatures range from 64 to 72 degrees. Wet and slippery.

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
Other Compensation Information
Night differential: A $.75 per hour night differential is paid to associates regularly scheduled to work any hours between midnight and 3:00 a.m. (this does not include shifts that end at midnight or begin at 3:00AM).
Weekend Differential: A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
