A. Mechanical Utilities – Operation & Maintenance
• Ensure upkeep, availability, reliability and efficient operation of Air Compressors / Compressed Air Systems, DG Sets, HVAC / Package ACs, Process Chillers, Cooling Towers and Cooling Water Systems.
• Maintain Vacuum Pumps / Vacuum Systems, Exhaust & Ventilation Systems, RO Plant, DM Plant, plumbing and water distribution systems.
• Manage fabrication, welding and general mechanical maintenance activities.
• Maintain Dust Collector Systems, Scrubber / Pollution Control Systems and associated fans, blowers, pumps and ducting.
• Maintain Fire Hydrant System including pumps, jockey pump, hydrant network, valves and associated mechanical equipment; coordinate periodic inspection, testing and maintenance.
• Maintain STP and ETP mechanical equipment and systems, including pumps, blowers, agitators, dosing-related mechanical equipment, pipelines and associated utility systems.
B. Preventive, Predictive & Breakdown Maintenance
• Develop, plan and monitor annual and periodic preventive maintenance plans for mechanical utilities and ensure timely execution and closure.
• Coordinate PM activities with technicians, supervisors and OEMs; track overdue activities and ensure action closure.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns, analyze repeat failures and drive Root Cause Analysis and permanent corrective actions.
• Monitor equipment health, breakdown trends, critical spares and maintenance history; move the function from reactive to reliability-based maintenance.
• Develop and improve SOPs, checklists, inspection standards and maintenance practices.
C. OEM / AMC & Contractor Management
• Coordinate with OEMs and AMC service providers for critical equipment maintenance, inspections and technical support.
• Prepare technical scopes, maintenance requirements and performance expectations for AMC contracts.
• Monitor service quality, response time, recommendations, documentation and closure of OEM/contractor actions.
• Support technical evaluation of quotations and proposals and negotiate scope, service quality, timelines and technical solutions.
D. MEP Projects & Engineering
• Support and independently execute mechanical aspects of MEP projects covering HVAC, chilled water, compressed air, cooling water, plumbing, utility piping, exhaust/ventilation and RO/DM systems.
• Understand user requirements, prepare technical scopes, review contractor proposals/BOQs and support equipment selection.
• Read and interpret mechanical, piping and MEP drawings; basic AutoCAD knowledge is required for review and minor modifications.
• Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, EHS, Production, Projects, Purchase and consultants; monitor quality, safety, cost and schedule.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover and maintenance of as-built drawings and project documentation.
E. Water & Utility Management
• Monitor plant water consumption and distribution; ensure reliable availability of raw, process, drinking, RO and DM water.
• Identify leakage, abnormal consumption and water-loss reduction opportunities and support water conservation/reuse initiatives.
F. Pollution Control & Environmental Systems
• Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of scrubbers, dust collectors, exhaust systems and associated mechanical equipment.
• Support compliance with applicable environmental requirements and maintain relevant operating/maintenance records.
G. Continuous Improvement / Kaizen
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, energy conservation, reliability, productivity and service improvement.
• Initiate and implement Kaizens and small improvement projects; use data and maintenance trends to identify opportunities.
• Apply structured problem solving and standardize successful improvements.
H. Technical Analysis & Management Proposals
• Prepare technical reports, breakdown/RCA reports, equipment health reports, technical comparisons and management presentations.
• Develop business cases / CAPEX proposals with problem statement, facts, alternatives, risks, cost-benefit analysis and recommendation. I. Documentation & Management Systems
• Support development and maintenance of SOPs, PM schedules, checklists, equipment history, maintenance standards, AMC records, technical specifications, drawings and asset records.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001; knowledge of IATF 16949 is an added advantage.
