Administers safe anesthesia - Reviews and discusses the anesthesia plan in collaboration with other anesthesia providers. Select and use all equipment, invasive and noninvasive monitors, supplies, and drugs for the administration of sedation, anesthesia, and pain management services; perform safety checks as needed. Monitor all equipment being used on patient during procedure. Records complete and accurate anesthesia records via EMR. Ensures patient’s stability prior to transporting patient to the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Informs personnel and supervising Physician Anesthesiologist of all pertinent information Collaborates with supervisors and/or managers of other departments to analyze and resolve patient issues. Inserts intravenous/intra-arterial catheters. Selects appropriate anesthesia technique and administers analgesic and anesthetic agents, adjuvant drugs, accessory drugs, fluids, or blood products necessary to provide anesthesia services. Manage emergency situations by assessing, stabilizing, and determining disposition of patients, including providing airway management, administration of emergency drugs and fluids, and using basic and advanced cardiac life support techniques.
