Role Overview
The Structural Biologist III collaborates across biology, bioinformatics, software engineering, and clinical teams to design tools and methodologies leveraging biomolecular structural data to guide clinical decisions.
Key Responsibilities
•
Provide structural biology support for variant analyses through structure-function relationship interpretation.
•
Develop novel methods, protocols, and tools for structural modeling, molecular dynamics, and clinical variant assessment on internal platforms.
•
Partner with statisticians and data scientists to validate algorithms and data collection workflows.
•
Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Bioinformatics, R&D, and reporting teams for clinical research projects.
•
Write testable, production-grade code adhering to SDLC standards and code review best practices.
•
Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge bases while mentoring junior staff.
•
Direct and lead the structural team through both soft and explicit leadership ensuring timely project completion
•
Support, inform, and educate leadership and stakeholders about project progress and blockers.
Qualifications & Competencies
•
Education: PhD in computational biology, structural biology, biophysics, bioinformatics, or equivalent.
•
Experience: Minimum 5 years of R&D experience in computational structural biology or related fields, including at least 2 years of post-doctoral or industrial experience and 2 years management experience.
•
