Position Summary
Within Light & Wonder, Strategic Sourcing operates as a sub-function of the Global operations. The Strategic Sourcing group is a small, high functioning team focused on setting the strategy for the front-end of the supply chain. The Strategic Sourcing group determines the supply strategy, selects supply partners, negotiates commercial terms, and coordinates supplier interactions and supplier management.
The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for identifying and leading projects designed to improve the Light & Wonder supply chain on electronics components. These projects will drive cost reduction, margin improvement, reduce lead-time, improve quality, and mitigate supply risk. These projects are transformational in nature and require strategic thinking, effective problem solving, and an ability to influence diverse teams.
A successful candidate will be data driven and cross-functionally minded. The candidate will be able to develop category strategies, monetize sourcing opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional business partners.
Essential Job Functions
•
Work cross-functionally to define and implement Global Sourcing strategies
•
Negotiate with components suppliers utilizing volume aggregation, competitive bidding, low cost country sourcing,
•
Develop suppliers to facilitate competition, mitigate risk, and introduce new technologies
•
Interface with Finance to link sourcing savings with budget.
•
Support supplier development using supplier scorecards, quarterly supplier business reviews, “preferred supplier” programs, etc.
Qualifications
