About the role
Varian Medical Systems, a Siemens Healthineers company, is hiring an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer for our site in Austin, TX. This is a hands-on technical role focused on automated manufacturing equipment, vision systems, and technical troubleshooting. You will design, modify, and improve automated manufacturing systems, cobots, vision inspection systems, fixtures, and production equipment. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
We’re looking for a strong electromechanical engineer who is comfortable working hands-on with complex automated equipment—someone who can troubleshoot a cobot, diagnose equipment issues, and make changes or improvements to automated vision and inspection systems. You’ll partner daily with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and external suppliers, and you’ll set the technical direction for the engineers and technicians around you.
