About the role
Do you want to play a defining role in optimizing the cost of our last mile network and protecting it from loss and leakage? Do you thrive on leveraging data to uncover savings opportunities and drive decisions? Are you looking for a role where you can have a direct, measurable impact on the bottom line? The JP Delivery Service Partner (DSP) organization is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead our Cost Optimization and Network Losses charter.
As a Senior Program Manager in the JP DSP organization, you will own and execute the strategy to optimize cost-to-serve and minimize network losses across our delivery operations in Japan. This role is responsible for identifying and driving down the structural cost drivers of DSP operations, and for designing programs that reduce losses and leakage, such as lost, damaged, and misrouted packages, concessions, and payment inaccuracies. You will partner with Program, Product, Operations, Finance, and Technology teams across Last Mile to deliver long-term scalable solutions and improve process efficiency. You will be deeply connected to the data, possess a high degree of ownership, and make excellent decisions. This role is central to Amazon Japan’s long-term ambition to structurally improve last mile cost-to-serve and drive step-change efficiency across the DSP network over the coming years.
A successful candidate will be highly analytical, be customer obsessed, able to overcome obstacles, and have excellent written and verbal communication. The candidate should be comfortable leading cross-functional business decisions, aligning partner teams, and recommending long-term solutions grounded in data. The ideal candidate will be someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, has attention to detail, is comfortable with ambiguity, and has a passion for data.
