About the role
As a Massage Therapist at The Cooper, you will provide restorative, customized bodywork experiences that reflect the city’s rich tradition of relaxation, charm, and elevated service. You will offer personalized treatments that help guests unwind from their travels, celebrations, or business with grace and care, while supporting the overall mission of wellness, Southern hospitality, and excellence.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Perform a range of therapeutic massage services with skill and professionalism.
•
Customize each treatment to guest needs following a pre-service consultation while respecting contraindications.
•
Deliver each experience in line with Forbes 5-Star spa standards, ensuring an atmosphere of calm, comfort, and refinement.
•
Prepare and reset treatment rooms with attention to cleanliness, ambiance, and guest preferences.
•
Recommend follow-up care and wellness products suited to each guest’s needs.
•
Maintain a professional, polished appearance consistent with Charleston’s luxury service expectations.
•
Comply with all state licensure requirements, sanitation guidelines, and hotel health and safety protocols.
•
Contribute to a positive and collaborative spa environment, supporting team goals and shared responsibilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
•
