Job Description:
Position Summary:
The HR Manager will play a critical role in shaping and executing the people’s strategy, serving as a trusted partner to leadership and employees. Reporting to the EU HRBP, this role will be responsible for driving strategic workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development initiatives in our Slovenia facility, Tolmin. The HR Manager will also champion a culture of inclusion, employee engagement, and continuous growth, ensuring compliance with local labor regulations while supporting business goals. Acting as both a strategic advisor and hands-on practitioner, the HR Manager will lead key HR programs, support change management efforts, and build meaningful connections with internal and external stakeholders, including community partners.
Experience and skills:
HR Leadership
•
Responsible for strategic workforce planning, including participation in annual planning and long-term organizational planning.
•
Strategic implementation of recruiting for open positions (advertisements, screening interviews, collaboration with hiring managers).
•
Provide strategic support in any reorganization and restructuring projects.
•
Ensure successful implementation of the Performance Management process and Talent Development initiatives.
•
Support managers and key employees in the implementation of career development plans.
•
Collaborate with the Finance department on compensation, benefits, bonus proposals, and salary increase planning.
•
Oversee implementation and management of local labour regulations.
•
Act as the primary contact for communication and negotiations with the Trade Union.
•
Participate in regional and local HR meetings, representing the business’s priorities and perspectives.
•
Prepare and analyse HR reports for both local and divisional purposes.
•
Collaborate with managers on onboarding plans and employee training initiatives.
•
Manage communication and collaboration with external partners and labour consultants on HR-related activities.
•
Prepare employee-related documents and labour law-related acts, as well as periodical HR reports.
•
Responsible for succession planning and the talent review process.
•
Collaborate on Health & Safety activities and contribute to Safety KPI achievement.
•
Share best practices across the organization and work closely with peers across the region.
•
Contribute to HR projects and cross-functional teamwork.
•
Understand and execute ITW toolbox and strategy.
•
Perform other duties as assigned.
Change Management & Organizational Culture
•
Support organizational transformation initiatives by driving effective change management practices, ensuring clear communication, engagement, and adoption across all levels of the business.
•
Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees during periods of change, providing tools, training, and frameworks to build resilience and foster a growth mindset.

•
Serve as an ally and advocate for DEI by promoting inclusive workplace practices, policies, and programs.
•
Partner with leadership and Employee Resource Groups to foster a culture of belonging and ensure that all voices are heard and valued.

Community Outreach & Engagement
•
Lead or support initiatives that strengthen the company’s presence in the community, building partnerships with local organizations, schools, and non-profits.

Develop opportunities for employees to engage in volunteering, mentorship, and outreach activities aligned with the company’s values and sustainability commitments.
Candidate Profile / Requirements
•
Education: University degree in Humanities, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.
