Job Description
Overview
AtkinsRéalis is one of Canada’s largest private sector nuclear engineering groups. We have been providing a wide range of services to the nuclear industry in Canada and around the world since for more than 60 years. We are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology.
Your role
•
Perform engineering work following AtkinsRéalis/Candu Energy procedures and QA programs, and applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
•
Coordinate and interface with client(s), suppliers, stakeholders and other design disciplines to execute assigned engineering work.
•
Become involved in conceptual, preliminary and/or detailed design phases to support CANDU and other Nuclear electrical systems and modifications.
•
Prepare technical documents, such as engineering drawings (including GAs, DDs, EDs), change paper markups, calculations, design/analysis reports, design requirements, design manuals, bill of materials, design specifications, technical specifications, component specification sheets, commissioning specifications, etc.
•
Participate in review of interfacing discipline’s documentation.
•
Prepare requisitions or Engineering Quotation Requests (EQR) for equipment and materials to support procurement.
•
Interface and provide technical guidance and instruction to Designers/Drafters.
•
Supervising, coordinating and reviewing the work of junior and assistant engineers/ designers; preparing estimates and monitoring schedules and assigns work to meet completion dates to team members.
•
Prepare scope of work and input to bid proposals.
•
Perform field walk-downs during different design phases and prepare Walkdown reports as required.
•
Assist field construction and execution activities, such as field changes, design revisions, commissioning, AFS, closeout, etc.
•
Complete the assigned scopes or tasks within given budget and schedule, and in good quality.
•
Provide prompt response and engineering resolutions on any critical engineering related matters.
About you
•
