About the role
When clients need capital, Global Capital Markets (GCM) responds with market judgments and ingenuity. Whether executing an IPO, a debt offering or a leveraged buyout, GCM integrates Morgan Stanley’s expertise in Sales and Trading and Investment Banking, offering clients seamless advice and sophisticated solutions. GCM originates, structures and executes public and private placement of equities, investment-grade and noninvestment-grade debt and related products. The group provides fresh ideas and broad distribution to help clients get the most out of each stage of a transaction, and continually develops capital markets solutions to enable clients to mitigate strategic, operational, credit and market risks.
The Leveraged Finance (‘LevFin’) group sits within GCM and focuses on providing comprehensive and innovative financing advice to financial sponsors and non-investment grade issuers across industries. This includes advising clients on optimal capital structure, underwriting financing packages, negotiating terms and documentation, advising on execution considerations and distribution to the institutional syndicated market or private capital markets. LevFin offers a mix of products (HY bonds, leveraged loans, private credit) which help our clients facilitate LBO (‘Leveraged Buyout’) and M&A transactions, repurchase shares, refinance existing debt as well as provide them with working capital and liquidity. The Lev Fin group is made up of syndicate, industry coverage, private credit advisory and asset based lending.
