[What you will be working on]
•
Develop user-centric solutions that improve the experience of parents and school users interacting with Parents Gateway and related Parents Domain products.
•
Apply UX design methodologies to understand user needs, optimise user journeys, and improve usability across web and mobile platforms.
•
Contribute to the design-thinking process to create intuitive, accessible, and practical digital solutions for the Parents Domain.
•
Support research, prototyping, and usability testing to ensure designs are grounded in real user needs and expectations.
•
Deepen familiarity with the Parents Domain ecosystem and its users during the initial 6–12 months, building a strong foundation for iterative design improvements.
UX Design, Prototyping, and Testing
Design wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to clearly visualise and communicate design concepts to the team and stakeholders. Validate designs through user feedback and usability testing, and iterate based on findings to continuously improve the experience. Manage design work across the end-to-end process, from early ideation through to implementation guidance, ensuring consistency and quality throughout.
User Research and Service Design
Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing sessions to gather meaningful insights from parents and school admin users. Map out user journeys and identify pain points to surface opportunities for improvement across Parents Domain products. Facilitate or support workshops to align on user needs, workflows, and design directions with the broader team.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
Work closely with product managers, engineers, and MOE stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet both user needs and business objectives. Communicate design decisions and rationale clearly to team members and project leads. Participate in ideation and co-creation sessions to develop solutions that genuinely address the needs of families and school communities.
