The purpose of Product Quality is to capture and deploy the customers’ needs and requirements on product execution throughout the organization. Documenting the quality plan(s) has multiple uses, such as: Ensuring conformance to customer requirements. Ensuring conformance to external and internal standards and procedures. Understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes. Devising and reviewing specifications for products or processes. Setting requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitoring their compliance.
Quality assurance or quality control plans evaluate and/or modify an organization’s procedures to help ensure they provide the desired results. Quality control plans are often viewed as a set of instructions that should be followed. They document the planning, implementation, and assessment procedures for a project, as well as any QA or QC activity.
Quality planning is the method of deciding what’s most important to the project. This occurs during the planning stage, where you determine the critical factors for a successful project. What steps to take and specifications that must be met for the products to deliver in accordance to FLS and customer requirements.
