Responsibilities
Reads water meters on assigned route and records data into hand-held computers to provide information for utility billing or other related action. Inspects, maintains, and replaces water meters, meter wells and associated equipment. Responds to customer service requests and handles complaints.
Meter Technician I Pay: $19.83 per hour
Meter Technician II Pay: $20.82 per hour
Minimum Qualifications:
Meter Technician I
· High School Graduation or equivalent required.
· Valid state Motor Vehicle Operator’s license and acceptable driving record required
· One year of experience with field service or equivalent related experience involving customer service.
Meter Technician II
· High School Graduation or equivalent required
· Valid state Motor Vehicle Operator’s license and acceptable driving record required
· Experience in providing exceptional customer service
· One year of experience with meter reading or equivalent related experience involving customer service
