Job Description
Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.
As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Front Desk Reception in Wayne, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:
•
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
•
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
•
Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk of a healthcare location by greeting visitors, patients, staff, and vendors professionally.
•
Monitor access to the facility by verifying identification, following visitor management procedures, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
•
Carry out site-specific security-related procedures, including maintaining visitor logs, issuing access credentials, and supporting reception operations.
•
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
•
Communicate observed concerns, unusual activity, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
•
Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
•
Customer service experience is preferred.
•
A guard card or license is preferred.
•
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
•
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
•
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
•
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
•
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
•
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
•
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
•
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
•
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
