Job Description
Allstate Protection Plans, formerly SquareTrade, helps customers protect the products they use every day, from phones and electronics to appliances and furniture.

Lead global accounting operations and controllership activities across multiple legal entities and markets.
•
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial results.
•
Maintain consistent application of U.S. GAAP, Allstate accounting policies, and applicable local requirements.
•
Provide accounting leadership for new products, commercial partnerships, service contracts, revenue arrangements, claims liabilities, and market expansion.
•
Strengthen balance-sheet governance, reconciliations, financial controls, and issue-resolution processes.
•
Partner with internal and external auditors to maintain audit readiness and address findings.
•
Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Technology, Operations, Product, and other business partners.
•
Develop and lead a high-performing global accounting team, including talent development and succession planning.
•
Establish meaningful performance measures for close timeliness, accounting quality, control effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
Lead Accounting Modernization
•
Develop a practical roadmap for using AI, automation, analytics, and process standardization across accounting.
•
Identify opportunities to improve reconciliations, variance analysis, transaction classification, anomaly detection, accounting research, and close monitoring.
•
Ensure AI-enabled accounting solutions include appropriate human judgment, documentation, data protection, and governance.
•
Partner with Technology, Data, Risk, Internal Audit, and Information Security to implement responsible and sustainable solutions.
•
Build AI fluency within the accounting team through education, experimentation, and adoption of approved tools.
•
Measure transformation success through improvements in accuracy, close speed, controls, scalability, and employee capacity.
