· Define and develop manufacturing process for heavy copper PCBs.
· Specify and engage PCB manufacturing equipment suppliers in process qualification.
· Work with the Product Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing groups to transfer products to production seamlessly.
· Design, simulate, prototype, and test circuitry and systems.
· Act as liaison between PCB stator suppliers and R&D/Engineering.
· Evaluate and characterize new products.
· Create datasheets, application notes, training material and other product documentation.
· Work independently and with other members of the team on various projects involving Infinitum motor platforms.
· Troubleshoot, optimize and perform detailed failure analysis on products in order to make DFM improvements and insert early stage testing.
· Support corporate New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts.
· Write complete specifications and work closely with other organizations to ensure that new products meet customer and market requirements
· Keep up to date with latest technologies (semiconductor, assembly, packaging, tools).
· Cooperate with Project Managers in order to maintain an up-to-date project plan and schedule.
· Initiate prototype builds and manage product characterization. Design evaluation boards and characterization fixtures, and direct or perform measurements
· Evaluate operational systems and recommend design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or to improve robustness.
