Across social, podcast, website, events and client materials, you are the guardian of the Devoted brand — high quality, consistent voice, and a clear sense of where we’re going.
• Evolve our positioning as the business grows, and keep it sharp against the market
• Hold the quality bar across every external touchpoint
• Own the website, brand assets, conference presence, merch, and partnership materials
• Commission and direct creative work rather than producing it yourself
Our BD team owns client relationships. You own what they walk in with. Pitch decks, sales decks, case studies and capability materials should make Devoted the obvious choice before anyone speaks.
• Own the pitch and sales deck library, and keep it current with what we are actually delivering
• Turn shipped projects into case studies and proof points, working with production and engineering to get the detail
• Package our core services — porting, co-development, art, engineering — so each one is clearly positioned rather than described generically
• Work closely with BD on what lands in client conversations, and sharpen accordingly
We have a strong social presence and an experienced team behind it. Your job is to keep it excellent, accurate, and pointed at something.
• Set the content direction and make sure what we publish reflects real production work and milestones
• Coordinate with clients on material approvals and IP permissions, with zero tolerance on publishing anything uncleared
• Direct our marketing automation and AI workflows, built and maintained in-house, so the team gets more from what it produces
• Oversee community management in coordination with community leads
Devoted Speakeasy Podcast
Devoted Speakeasy is one of the industry’s most respected voices in GameDev. It has a loyal audience and a strong identity. Your job is to protect that and keep it sharp, not to turn it into a marketing funnel.
• Maintain editorial quality and brand consistency
• Oversee guest pipeline and production cadence
• Ensure podcast content gets properly amplified across other channels
• Keep the tone and positioning true to what makes Speakeasy worth listening to
You will lead a team of experienced marketing professionals and take full ownership of how they deliver. The founder should never have to chase an update or wonder what the team is working on.
• Set priorities, run tight delivery cadences, and hold the team to them
• Decide where marketing effort goes, review it against what it was meant to achieve, and stop what isn’t working
• Weekly reporting to the founder — short, clear, numbers-driven
• Own performance across the team, including the difficult conversations
• Manage contractors, agencies, and external vendors
