What you’ll do
We are seeking a Civil Engineer to contribute to the full lifecycle of our site development projects, from initial feasibility through construction execution. You will support site assessments, design development, and compliance activities under mentorship from senior engineers. The ideal candidate has hands-on CAD skills and is comfortable working both at the desk and on construction sites.
Where you’ll work
This role is ideally based in our San Francisco, Long Beach, or Houston offices, with full-time onsite expectations outside of bi-weekly WFH Fridays.
That said, we will make exceptions for truly exceptional talent if you live outside one of our hubs. If you’re the right person for this role, we’ll have a conversation about what works.
Responsibilities
•
Assist in developing site layouts, including grading plans, drainage systems, utility routing, and foundation design under senior engineer guidance.

Conduct site assessments, gather geotechnical data, and contribute to environmental impact studies to support project viability determinations.
•
Research and apply local zoning laws and building codes; support the permitting process with municipal and state agencies.
•
Contribute to project schedules and budgets; assist with vendor coordination under senior oversight.
•
Support structural calculations for specialized equipment housing (e.g., pads for cooling units, heavy electrical infrastructure).
•
Perform site inspections to verify construction alignment with engineering specifications and safety standards; document findings.
