About the role
We are looking for a bilingual Product Director to lead our Sales and Client Portals across APAC. You will drive product strategy, cross-functional delivery and data-led growth while exploring AI opportunities to improve client and internal user experiences. Experience in financial services or trading is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Product Strategy and Delivery
• Own the product roadmaps for the Sales Portal and Client Portal, prioritising initiatives to maintain alignment with business objectives and evolving user needs.
• Develop a strong understanding of data flows and functional integrations across the Sales Portal, Client Portal, CRM, middleware and data platforms; identify experience gaps and optimisation opportunities.
• Translate growth objectives and user insights into clear product specifications and executable delivery plans.
2.
Requirements Definition and Product Delivery
• Conduct in-depth research into the needs of retail trading clients and internal teams, including Sales, Customer Service, Operations and Marketing, and produce high-quality PRDs and functional specifications.
• Partner closely with Design, Engineering, QA and Data teams to manage the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery to launch, ensuring delivery quality and momentum.
• Lead backlog management and prioritisation decisions, and coordinate sprint planning, iteration reviews and releases across teams.
3.
Data-Driven Product Growth
• Establish core metrics across product modules and regularly review user behaviour, conversion funnels, retention and lifetime value.
• Lead A/B testing and product experimentation, using data to continuously optimise features and user experience.
• Advance data-product capabilities supporting BI reporting, user segmentation, personalisation and recommendation use cases.
4.
AI and Emerging Technology
• Identify and validate AI and machine-learning opportunities in trading products, such as intelligent notifications, risk-support tools, customer-service automation and personalised market information.
• Collaborate with technology teams to understand the boundaries of web, mobile and data platforms, ensuring product designs are feasible, scalable and maintainable.
5.
Cross-Functional Leadership and Communication
• Act as the key product representative across Business, Compliance, Technology and Marketing, establishing clear communication mechanisms and aligning cross-functional goals.
• Understand how regulatory requirements, including ASIC, MAS and FSA obligations, affect product design and delivery.
• Communicate effectively in English and Chinese and support product collaboration across APAC markets and cultures.
Requirements
• At least 6 years of product-management experience, including a minimum of 3 years as a Senior Product Manager or product-line lead. Experience with Sales Portals, Client Portals or comparable internal and external portal products is highly preferred.
• Strong structured product thinking, with the ability to break down complex requirements, set clear priorities and drive effective cross-functional execution.
• Solid data-analysis skills and hands-on experience with Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase or similar tools, plus foundational SQL capability.
• Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and proficiency with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence and Notion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
