· Monitor furnace, casting, upcast, cooling, coiling, and related equipment performance.
· Monitor production output, line speed, yield, scrap, downtime, and OEE during the shift.
· Identify abnormal conditions at an early stage and take immediate action to prevent production stoppage or quality problems.
· Coordinate with Maintenance for breakdowns, equipment abnormalities, and required corrective actions.
· Coordinate with Process and Quality teams to investigate and resolve quality problems such as rod cracks, surface defects, dimensional variation, conductivity issues, and other non-conformities.
· Ensure proper start-up, shutdown, changeover, and operating procedures are followed.
· Ensure production operators follow approved work instructions, safety procedures, and process standards.
· Monitor and control production losses, including scrap, rejected material, downtime, and off-specification production.
· Ensure proper recording of production quantities, raw material consumption, scrap, downtime, equipment problems, and other shift information.
· Prepare and submit accurate shift production reports and highlight major issues requiring management attention.
· Ensure proper communication and handover between shifts, including outstanding equipment, process, quality, and production issues.
· Train and guide operators and helpers on CCR operation, safety, quality requirements, and standard operating procedures.
· Maintain good housekeeping and 5S within the CCR production area.
· Ensure safe working practices and immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents.
· Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective actions for repeated production, quality, and equipment problems.
· Support continuous improvement activities to increase production capacity, OEE, yield, and equipment reliability.
· Maintain a record of repeated operating problems and the actions taken to support future troubleshooting.
· Ensure all production activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and requirements.
