The Opportunity - UK Remote
At Leonardo, we have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Supportability Engineer to join our team within the Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3) line of business. The team you will be joining form part of a multi discipline engineering team responsible for the Through-Life Services (TLS), which will shape the service and product solution for Tempest, the next-generation combat aircraft.
This team benefits from the flexibility to work fully remotely with an adhoc requirement for UK and International travel on occasion, subject to business needs.
TLS consists of everything needed to keep the systems operating effectively throughout life. This project aims to develop a capable, cost effective and sustainable solution, by seeking to influence the early design of the equipment, as well as provide the through-life solution framework. This includes all of the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), solution management, continuous improvement, equipment upgrades, spares, repairs, training, supportability, failure prediction, equipment health status monitoring, support solution architecture, knowledge and information management.
Supportability Engineers are involved at all stages of a GCAP/FCAS programme, from Bid, to Development, to Production then Customer Support and eventually disposal. We draw engineers from many different disciplines in addition to Supportability, such as Electronic and Systems Engineering. We are looking for someone who enjoys working at the conceptual phase, transitioning to the Design and Development phase of the programme.
We will give you the environment to develop your existing technical skills, helping us to deliver world leading Through Life Support Service. We are a diverse mix of Engineers and Technical Specialists who bring together a wealth of experience and expertise to collaborate, innovate and deliver world-class solutions.
