Develops and executes experiments and performance tests to assess reliability of Zebra’s
devices/solutions.
Support the implementation of Zebra’s contract with electronic manufacturing services company (EMS) by managing and monitoring the manufacturing activities carried out by the EMS and reporting to the global or regional teams from time to time and performing duties in line with the company’s overall strategy and direction for its product portfolio:
• Acts independently to design tests and creates test procedures to address moderately complex issues. Develops test plans. Designs and sets up test fixtures. Performs Design of Experiments (DOE) with assistance from management or senior PVE team members.
• Consistently applies standard and specialized testing methods. Demonstrates full knowledge of product and product cost drivers in area of expertise and proficient knowledge of other subsystem operation.
• Demonstrates proficiency with standard and specialized engineering tools
• Performs testing following established test plans and procedures. Makes decisions independently for new test procedures. Completes and report results of tests per project timelines. Performs moderately complex root cause analysis with support from within department and/or from Engineering.
• May participate in the development of new engineering tools
• Works closely with design engineers and development teams to identify critical performance
• Acts independently to recommend and execute against actions for maintaining test progress.
• Provides expertise in structured test design, test set-up, metrology, data collection, data interpretation, and statistical analysis to design / project team
• Contributes to process improvement and automation projects
• May present test results to project team, in department management or small groups of other
stakeholders usually limited to Director and below
• May oversee the work of one or more test technicians, acting as a lead and escalation point
