Job Description:
Facilities Management seeks a Groundskeeper (Nights) to maintain grounds and participate in all types of grounds maintenance activities.
This position is based on the Tempe campus but will require working at other ASU campus locations based on program need.
This position will remain posted until filled.
Essential Duties:
•
Maintain grounds and roads, maintain landscaping tools and equipment. Perform maintenance, and install/remove outdoor furniture/signage.
•
Remove debris from stairs and walk, rake leaves pick up debris piles.
•
Pick up litter and empty outdoor trash/recycling cans.
•
Removal of solid waste from campus and keeping recycled materials separated from the landfill waste.
•
Operate high pressure power washer.
•
Operate pick-up trucks, stake-bed truck, flat-rack trucks and dump trucks for hauling purposes and for trash and debris removal.
•
Perform minor maintenance and repair on equipment and tools as required.
•
Utilize backpack blower, handsaws, and other tools for storm clean up and other assigned tasks.
•
Utilize a S30 sidewalk sweeper and T20 ride-on surface scrubber.
•
Clean up around residential hall compactors and operate compactors safely.
•
Remove bulk items such as shipping crates, pallets, and metal scrap from various locations.
•
Install and remove outdoor signs, parking and traffic control barriers, and overhead banners as required.
•
Use ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Sunday - Thursday; 10:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Any experience which provides knowledge, skills and ability to perform the work. Employee may be required to possess a valid US Driver’s license of the appropriate class and required endorsements throughout employment.
