JOB SUMMARY
***CANDIDATE MUST BE US Citizen (due to contractual/access requirements)***
This position is an integral member of the Claims Financial application team, responsible for supporting, enhancing, and modernizing applications that are critical to claims processing and financial operations. The role combines production support responsibilities with software development activities to ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of business-critical systems.
The successful candidate will collaborate with business partners, analysts, architects, and fellow engineers to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain solutions that support Claims Financial operations. Using technologies such as Java, GitLab, Digital.ai, enov8, and other enterprise platforms, the individual will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and operational support.
This role requires a strong focus on problem solving, system reliability, and continuous improvement. The engineer will investigate and resolve production issues, implement enhancements, support platform modernization initiatives, and leverage emerging technologies and best practices to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that meet both business and operational needs.

Preferred Education- for an Associate level engineer a Masters degree is not expected .
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Responsible for designing and creating engineering specifications for software applications and programs. Responsible for writing code that adheres to coding standards. Perform code reviews.
•
Responsible for idea generation, exploring and suggesting appropriate technical solutions to achieve the required product features, as well as monitoring technical process against project plan while safeguarding functionality, scalability and performance.
•
Part of an agile work team and responsible for participating in all scrum ceremonies, assisting in sprint planning and completing required sprints in the development through final execution of software applications/programs. Communicate any issues/blockers to the Scrum Master in a timely manner.
•
Help in story creation (i.e. DoD, Acceptance Criteria, estimation). Creates Tasks for their stories in applicable software (ex: RTC or Jira), and updates status and assignment accordingly
•
Monitor work against production schedule and provide progress updates and report any issues or technical difficulties to senior developers/principals on a regular basis.
•
Other duties as assigned or requested.

Required
•
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field

Pay Range Minimum:
$68,400.00
Pay Range Maximum:
$105,900.00
Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations.
