Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
SAP Data & Analytics Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP HANA, CDS Views, ABAP fundamentals, SAP data extraction frameworks, and analytical data modeling best practices.
Programming, Databases & Data Engineering: Proficiency in Python and SQL, strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, and experience designing and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.
Data Integration & Platforms: Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP data sources, leveraging SAP Datasphere, SAP Data Integration capabilities, Databricks, and modern data engineering frameworks.
Cloud Technologies & Infrastructure: Knowledge of cloud-based data platform architectures and modern cloud technologies; experience with Azure services and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts is a plus.
Business Analytics & Reporting: Understanding of reporting, analytics, planning, and business intelligence processes, as well as the underlying data models and requirements that support them**.**
Collaboration & Communication: Strong team-oriented mindset, creativity, and motivation to contribute to a shared vision, combined with excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus).
