About the role
The Senior Manager of Applications – Integration & Analytics role drives strategic engagement and excellence in delivery for data integration, business analytics, and AI platforms at VS&Co. This person will direct agile project teams and operational support teams in the design, development, and support of MicroStrategy (Strategy), Google Looker, and AI analytics. This person will also own the design, development, support of enterprise integration tools to move data inside and outside of VS&Co including Mulesoft, Talend, Kafka, and Cleo. The person filling this position will need to influence business and IT partners to set direction and manage projects associated with systems, databases and data warehouse, data integrations, and data analytics outputs. They will also manage the global product delivery teams working on those projects. Day to day responsibilities include operational excellence, talent management, project, resource, and financial planning; status communication; and issue resolution. A qualified candidate must be excellent at understanding complex problems, communicating, and influencing multi-level business partners, and have a history of executing large agile initiatives, with multi-purposed teams. This person will be responsible for the growth and maintenance of all enterprise business intelligence platforms, analytics outputs, and integration platforms and will be focused on agile development methodologies.
Responsibilities
• Contributes and manages analytics strategy, implementation, and support roadmap.
• Leads the design and implementation of all analytics & integration projects, ensuring that these solutions align with VS&Co strategic direction and technology standards.
• Establishes relationships with IT, business, vendors, and integrated stakeholders to meet the operational and analytics needs of the organization.
• Collaborates across business units with stakeholders, providing thought leadership, and driving day-to-day implementation of our analytics & integration strategies.
• Leads a team who advises retail business partners on analytical options to address their specific needs, including discussing potential analytical approaches to problems, associated benefits or risks, and recommendations.
• Train, cultivate, and elevate teammates in analytics and integration to lead projects, design, development, delivery, and operations.
• Reviews and approves design plans and technical design documents for development of the application according to business requirements.
• Provides business process and technical direction through design and support for onshore and offshore associates.
• Resolves project and operational issues discerning the most appropriate courses of action, providing tactical direction and, when necessary, reallocating resources.
• Provides technical mentoring, and leadership across a product delivery team with mixed skills. This person will demonstrate effective problem solving, conceptual thinking, quantitative and analytical skills.
• Manages and tracks the progress of multiple, concurrent, high-priority and large projects.
• Manages 2 data product teams focused on specific business areas, learns business needs & priorities, and facilitates all relevant data, analytics, and integration needs for the teams.
