Firetiger is on a mission to help our customers build 1-person, $1 billion revenue companies.
We believe that eventually, all companies will be software companies, and the vast majority of coordination will be handled by autonomous agents, not people. To get there, we are helping software companies become “self-driving”.
Legacy software engineering operations software is built for humans to manually explore data and patch together brittle alerts. The last generation of tools like Datadog is designed to enable humans to understand how software behaves. Firetiger flips the script. We approach operations from first principles: customers define top-down what success looks like for a business and product, then deploy agents to constantly monitor to ensure those goals are met and close the loop.
We are founded by Rustam and Achille, former leaders from Cloudflare and Segment, and backed by Sequoia Capital.
About the role
We are looking for a Company Operator (sometimes known as a Chief of Staff, but we have grander ambitions for this role!) to work directly with our CEO, Rustam Lalkaka. We’re moving from single-celled organism to something with legs! And we need someone exceptional to help us run faster.
The Role
You are the prototype for the “1-person, $1 billion” operator. You will help define the high-level goals for the company (financial health, talent density, customer delight) and build and operate the systems that execute against them.
We’re looking for someone to be a force multiplier for our founders. This isn’t a “shadow CEO” role where you sit in meetings and take notes. This is an execution role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, ships work that matters, and has strong opinions about how to build a company well.
You will not just “run” finance, or recruiting, or anything else; you will define the evergreen outcomes we care about and build the agents and workflows that close the loop when reality is different from the plan.
What You Will Accomplish
•
Company Operations: You will build processes and systems to help the company run: sell, recruit, manage finances, and occasional general admin. You will design processes that allow us to interact with the world at massive scale without massive headcount.
•
Customer Loop Closure: You will be the first line of feedback for our “agent-first” data infrastructure. You will help early customers define their own “evergreen” success metrics and ensure Firetiger is delivering on them.
Who You Are
•
High Agency: You don’t wait for permission. You see a problem, whether it’s a broken financial model or a slow hiring process, and you fix it.
•
Technical Aptitude: You might not be a software engineer by trade, but you are excited about building automation to make the company run more smoothly. You might have played with Claude Code, written (many?) SQL queries, or hacked together a Zapier/Notion workflow. If you have the interest to code and build agents, we will teach you the skills. We value trajectory over tenure.
•
First-Principles Thinker: You don’t do things because “that’s how they are done.” You ask “what is the goal?” and “what do customers want?” and you figure out how to build the system to achieve it.
Qualifications
•
Experience: 2-5 years of professional experience in a high-performance environment.
•
Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to learn and build systems combining people, process, and software to accomplish a goal.
•
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation and benefits
•
Competitive salary + meaningful early-stage equity
•
100% covered health/dental/vision
•
Unlimited PTO
•
Visa sponsorship available
•
In-person in San Francisco
How to Apply
We care more about your projects than your pedigree.
In your application, please include a link to or description of a tool, script, or workflow you’ve built to solve a problem.
