We are seeking a Vice President, Alternative Operations, to join our global Alternatives Operations team in London. This team supports PIMCO’s Alternative Credit, Special Situations, and Insurance Solutions platforms, including complex private debt, distressed investments, private equity vehicles, structured financing arrangements, and separately managed accounts. The role will primarily support European-based Portfolio Managers and investment strategies while partnering closely with teams across London, Newport Beach, New York, Austin, and Dublin.
The Vice President will serve as a senior operational partner to Portfolio Management, providing oversight across the full lifecycle of private and originated investments, from deal execution and funding through settlement, ongoing asset maintenance, restructurings, and final exit events. The individual will work cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Treasury, Product Strategy, Tax, and third-party service providers to ensure operational readiness and a robust control environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, enhancing controls, managing key service provider relationships, leading strategic initiatives, and serving as an escalation point for complex financing structures, bespoke transactions, and operational issues across European portfolios. This role requires a strong understanding of private credit markets, complex debt structures, alternative investment operations, and project leadership within a fast-paced investment environment.
