About the role
We’re looking for managers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems and highly available services. If this is you, at Oracle you can help, shape, design and build innovative new systems from the ground up. Managers at any level can have significant technical and business impact.
Responsibilities
As a senior manager you will own the vision and execution of software design and development for major components of Oracle’s Health and AI platform. You will work closely with product management, architecture, cloud operations, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-quality solutions for enterprise-scale applications and developer platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in software engineering leadership, distributed systems, platform development, and Agile delivery, along with a passion for mentoring teams and building scalable engineering processes.
Requirements
You should have technical depth, architectural know how, distributed systems generalist, strong people and process manager and able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
From a technology perspective, this is a greenfield development environment with a huge amount of autonomy, leaving us free to build and innovate without being encumbered by legacy products and services. We are building a highly scalable ingestion system that can consume, filter, and transport large volumes of events generated by our cloud services to our customers and then give them the ability to act/react to these events at scale.
