The Position
Kaufman, Hall & Associates, LLC, is seeking an AVP, Healthcare Data and AI, to support the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of Kaufman Hall’s next generation healthcare insights capability, and to support the development of Kaufman Hall’s overall data strategy.
This role will focus on applying data science, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled tooling to support the development of a scalable platform that helps consultants access, analyze, and apply complex healthcare data and insights. The AVP, Data and AI, will play a critical role in designing and maintaining the analytical foundation, including data models, analytical methodologies, AI-enabled capabilities, benchmarking approaches, and other technical components that support the platform. In addition, as Kaufman Hall develops a future-focused data strategy, this role will play a key leadership role in identifying gaps in data access, availability and coordination, and identifying opportunities to enhance Kaufman Hall’s overall data platform.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Innovation and Insights team, healthcare subject-matter experts, business stakeholders, and other technology partners to translate business needs into analytical solutions. This role will support the ongoing evolution of Kaufman Hall’s Insight Engine by developing innovative approaches for organizing, analyzing, and deriving value from complex healthcare datasets. We seek a technically curious and analytically rigorous individual who is excited about applying advanced data science techniques to create meaningful business value in the healthcare industry while working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
•
Develop, deploy, and maintain analytical models, algorithms, AI-enabled capabilities, and other data science solutions that support healthcare benchmarking, performance analysis, entity relationships, and intelligence generation within Kaufman Hall’s Insight Engine.
•
Support development of a cohesive Kaufman Hall data strategy, enabling required data and access mechanisms, and ensuring coordination of data assets across practices.
•
Collaborate with the Innovation and Insights team to translate healthcare data, business requirements, and consulting needs into scalable analytical solutions that support Insight Engine functionality, use cases, and decision-making.
•
Support the evaluation, organization, integration, and ongoing management of large and complex healthcare datasets to ensure analytical accuracy, reliability, and usability.
•
Partner with technology teams and other technical resources to develop and maintain scalable tools, applications, and infrastructure supporting Insight Engine.
•
Conduct research and remain current on emerging analytical techniques, artificial intelligence capabilities, and data science methodologies to identify opportunities to enhance Insight Engine.
•
Ensure analytical models, data assets, technical solutions, and supporting documentation are maintained to support future enhancement, auditing, and ongoing operation of the capability.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
•
7+ years of progressive data science, advanced analytics, AI-enabled analytics and/or other relevant experience required. Experience with large data models, healthcare finance, healthcare operations, healthcare analytics, or healthcare data preferred. Prior consulting experience preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $155,000 to $225,000.
