Job Description
Who You’ll Work With
Arista Networks is seeking a candidate to perform product management responsibilities for the CloudVision software platform and associated Arista Networks switching product line. This is a key opportunity for someone with industry and technology expertise in the networking/automation sector. What You’ll Do
•
Create and evangelize field facing product marketing collateral across CloudVision technologies, including white papers, slide decks, websites, demos, videos, etc.
•
Subject matter expertise on deeply technical topics related to product development, deployment, and ongoing product user-experience.
•
Collaborate on product definition through customer requirement gathering and roadmap planning
•
Product support for sales teams and customers to ensure success with major opportunities and deployments
•
Hands-on projects to develop labs as well as demonstrate key technologies
•
Leverage expertise to train Arista sales force and Arista customers through clear and accurate product collateral
•
Execute ongoing aspects of the product lifecycle, including interaction with a cross-functional set of teams
•
Keep up-to-date on competitive solutions, products, and services
•
Regular analysis of the industry landscape and positioning relative to Arista’s differentiation
•
Represent Arista at external events, including conferences, tradeshows, partner engagements, etc.
Qualifications
•
At least Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent Bachelor degree required
•
10-12 years of experience in the networking industry
•
Strong preference for at least 5 years as a product manager or technical marketing engineer. Prior experience could also include software engineering, systems engineering, or similar roles.
•
Industry / technology expertise is required in the following areas: network management and operations, data center trends and technologies, network orchestration and automation systems, network platform offerings and solutions from industry vendors. Routing, switching, VxLAN/MPLS/network virtualization knowledge is preferred but not required.
•
Expert technical knowledge is required in several of the following areas: Network management platforms for enterprise users, UI/UX user experience workflows, automation techniques, DevOps platforms (Ansible, etc), APIs (JSON, gRPC etc.), scripting (Python, etc.). Compensation Information
The new hire base pay for this role has a salary range of $142,000 to $193,000.
Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.
The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. US-based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and income protection. The recruiting team can share more details during the hiring process specific to the role and location.
