Company Overview
At Motorola Solutions, we believe that everything starts with our people. We’re a global close-knit community, united by the relentless pursuit to help keep people safer everywhere. We build and connect technologies to help protect people, property and places. Our solutions foster the collaboration that’s critical for safer communities, safer schools, safer hospitals, safer businesses, and ultimately, safer nations. Connect with a career that matters, and help us build a safer future.
Department Overview
Voice is the lifeblood of frontline work. When seconds matter, firefighters, police and EMS rely on hardened radios and an always-available network to reach mission-critical intelligence and assistance. Utility crews, transit operators, plant floors and campus security run their day on Motorola infrastructure for the same reason.
Our team builds the radio console products and APIs that bridge that audio to dispatch centers, operations centers, AI agents, and beyond.
Job Description
About the role
This is a GM-style role. You’ll own a mature, growing $XXM+ radio consoles product line, and be tasked with leading a product and business model transformation. You’ll set the strategy, own the commercial results, and lead through engineering, design, sales, and support, often without direct authority. It’s a high-visibility seat in one of Motorola Solutions’ most strategic areas.
The ideal candidate has an AI-first mindset, naturally creates structure and process, and loves to compete and win in highly dynamic markets.
Job description:
•
Set strategy. Define the long-term vision and strategy for public safety & enterprise businesses, partnering with stakeholders across Motorola’s functional organizations. Expect to challenge fundamental assumptions about how we package, price, and sell, including the move to subscription-based offerings with tiered upsell and cross-sell paths to other Motorola Solutions products
•
Accelerate growth. Grow top-line revenue by partnering with Motorola’s enterprise go-to-market teams and channels to align incentives, so that selling our Motorola is the clear choice over third-party alternatives
•
Build the team. Hire, develop, and lead a team of product leaders, and rebuild how it works for an AI-native world. Write decision memos, evaluation plans, and launch playbooks first, so that people stay aligned and our AI agents and copilots have the context to scale our output.
•
Decide what we build. Run the portfolio from idea to launch with engineering and design. Set measurable goals, and kill products and features that don’t advance strategic or commercial outcomes.
•
Bridge two worlds. Connect Motorola Solutions’ nearly 100-year-old business with its fast-moving software and AI portfolio, finding ways to move faster and clear customer obstacles.
•
Open the platform. Define the APIs and platform boundaries that let internal teams and third parties build on our voice stack without compromising reliability or security. Decide where we build and where we partner across customer workflows.
Qualifications:
•
6+ years in product leadership, including leading other product leaders and owning revenue or P&L outcomes
•
