About the role
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a Sales Engineer to join our team and contribute to our dynamic and fast-paced sales environment. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, promoting our solutions, and providing exceptional service to our valued customers. We’re looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team in Centurion, South Africa , helping utilities, industrial customers, and renewable energy developers build smarter, safer, and more reliable power systems.
If you have a background in Electrical Engineering, Technical Sales, Power Systems, Solar, Wind, or Energy Storage, this is an opportunity to work at the forefront of the energy transition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1.
Manage and develop relationships with SEL customers and channel partners.
2.
Understand the true requirements and objectives of customers. Determine, communicate and deliver the optimal SEL solution that best meets their needs.
3.
Building and maintain knowledge of all SEL products and teaching customers SEL technology and innovation.
4.
Develop, maintain and deliver upon quarterly orders forecasts and sales goals.
5.
Collect, analyze and report industry, competitor and customer trends to the greater SEL organization.
6.
Work collaboratively to understand and drive the resolution of customer feedbacks and product issues.
7.
Liaise between customers, contracts & risk, and accounts receivable to facilitate commercial relationships.
8.
Utilize business tools to maintain customer relationship information, opportunity tracking and sales activities.

Possesses B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
Have 3+years of experience in an electrical engineering or technical sales environment
