Purpose
The McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering is looking to hire Student Assistants to support our Shipping & Receiving, Inventory, Business, and administrative operations. This position will work on campus in the CPE building during normal business hours and is renewable for the summer term upon satisfactory performance. Standard business hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Responsibilities
•
Receive packages delivered to the department and notify recipients in a timely manner
•
Assist ChE faculty, staff and researchers with outgoing shipments
•
Sort incoming mail; scan inventory tags for department-owned equipment
•
Assist with scanning, filing, and general organizational tasks
Required Qualifications
•
Must be currently enrolled full-time at UT Austin as an undergraduate student
•
Good academic standing
•
Demonstrate communication skills, helpful attitude and professionalism
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
