Deseret Book is pleased to announce an exciting new collaboration with the Church.
Beginning November 2, 2026, Deseret Book will assume retail operations for the gift shop inside the Church History Museum, followed by the gift shop inside the Beehive House and Lion House Historical Sites in December 2026.
While these locations will operate as Deseret Book stores from a business and staffing perspective, they will continue to serve visitors as Church gift shops.
Position
The Supervisor supports the Shop Manager in the day-to-day leadership of the gift shop, directly overseeing Leads and Associates to ensure every shift reflects the sacred purpose of Temple Square. Leads the full day-to-day operation of the museum’s retail store including sales, merchandising, cash handling, and compliance with POS and PCI standards. This role drives results by coaching and mentoring volunteers and team members on their assigned responsibilities. The Supervisor designs compelling window and counter displays, implements VMP, and helps coordinate store events. A growth-minded leader, the incumbent embraces Deseret Book’s mission and Cultural Beliefs, operates with a “see it, own it, solve it, do it” mindset, and delivers consistent results across key metrics. As this role is located on Temple Square and in Church buildings, the supervisor will serve as, and direct associates to be ambassadors of the Church, reflecting the light of Jesus Christ in conduct and appearance and ensuring every visitor’s experience aligns with the sacred purpose of Temple Square.
