About the Role
The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the global accounting team based at the company’s corporate headquarters in Austin. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely recording of YETI’s North America revenue. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of YETI’s financial statements and supporting the continued growth of the business.
What You’ll Do
•
Perform month-end close responsibilities (journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting and analysis, etc.) including accounting for significant estimates (e.g. sales returns reserve, bad debt allowance, revenue cut-off)
•
Partner cross-functionally with sales, FP&A, accounts receivable and credit & collections to ensure the order to cash processes are working effectively and efficiently
•
Provide insight to business teams and FP&A regarding the accounting impacts of business decisions
•
Apply ASC 606 guidance to new revenue streams and changes to existing contracts and clearly document assessment & conclusions

What You Bring
•
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance related field or equivalent experience
•
5+ years of accounting experience
•
2+ years of public accounting preferred
•
CPA designation strongly preferred
•
