About the company
Milton Hershey School (MHS) is one of the world’s best pre-K through 12th grade private schools, where over 2,200 students from disadvantaged backgrounds are provided with a cost-free home, a top-notch education and access to exceptionally well-resourced athletic and other extra-curricular opportunities. Thanks to the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909, the school is fully endowed with the resources to ensure students thrive. The school has prepared over 12,000 graduates to lead fulfilling and productive lives and is expanding to serve more students.
About the role
MHS is seeking Per-Diem Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) to join the dedicated team in our Student Health Center. In this role, you will support registered school nurses in delivering high-quality, student-centered care in a 40-bed Health Center and three school-based clinics. You will assist students who are ill, injured, recovering from surgery, or receiving behavioral wellness services. Responsibilities include supporting student admissions and discharges, assisting with daily care needs, and transporting and accompanying students to off-campus medical appointments, including emergency room visits. The ideal candidate demonstrates confidentiality, sound judgment, personal accountability, and a commitment to providing compassionate care aligned with the school’s mission and Student Health Services program.
Benefits
Schedule, Pay & Benefits: Per-diem employees work year-round up to 29 hours per week (various shifts) and are scheduled for two 8-hour weekend shifts during each four-week scheduling period. The hourly pay range is $18.36–$23.46 (based on the shift). Part-time employees are eligible for a retirement savings plan, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), free meals while on duty, and discounts at participating Hershey-area businesses.
