Homes are one of the largest sources of carbon emissions, which can be dramatically reduced by converting to heat pumps, however adoption lags due to high cost and friction in the retrofit process today. Solving one layer of the value chain won’t move the needle on adoption. Mass adoption will come when it becomes a no-brainer for homeowners to transition. That is why Jetson is building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company. Jetson will make it simple, transparent, and affordable for everyone to get a heat pump.
The Opportunity
Jetson is looking for a Community & Social Media Manager to own the relationship between Jetson and the people who live with our product.
This is bigger than posting. You’ll build the audience, and then you’ll build the connection. The DMs, the comments, the Reddit threads, the group chats, the customers who love their heat pump and want to tell someone about it. You’ll be the voice people hear when they reach out to Jetson, and the person who makes sure they hear back.
You will own the strategy, the content, the conversation, and the results. If you’ve ever wanted to turn a customer base into an actual community, this is that job.
What You Will Do
•
Own Jetson’s voice everywhere our community lives: social channels, comments, DMs, Reddit, Facebook groups, and forums. Set the tone and hold it.
•
Run community end to end. Show up, answer questions, welcome new homeowners, and make people feel heard.
•
Own existing social channels end to end: content, calendar, community management, and performance.
•
Identify and stand up new channels, formats, and community spaces where our audience is, or is heading, from concept through launch.
•
Turn happy customers into advocates. Find the people who love their heat pump and give them a reason and a stage to talk about it.
•
Build a UGC engine: sourcing content, clearing rights, and repurposing it across social and other marketing channels.
•
Operate like a producer, not just a poster. Spot what’s working, pitch original concepts, direct shoots and edits, and push ideas from idea to published.
•
Close the loop with customer and support teams so nobody who reaches out to Jetson falls through the cracks.
•
Keep a finger on the pulse of platform changes, emerging formats, and internet culture, and turn what you see into content Jetson should be making.
•
Track and report on content, channel, and community performance, and use the data to double down on what’s working.
•
Partner with brand, growth, and customer teams to keep social and community aligned with broader marketing goals.
What You Will Bring
•
Previous experience running organic social for a D2C brand, with results you can point to and speak to in detail.
•
Real community-building experience. You’ve grown an audience and, more importantly, kept it engaged.
•
A genuine ease with people. You’re comfortable being the human on the other end of a comment, a DM, or a frustrated question, and you know how to answer with warmth and without corporate stiffness.
•
Sound judgment on the hard conversations. You know when to reply publicly, when to take it to DMs, and when to bring in the team.
•
Comfortable owning the full metrics picture, from top-of-funnel reach and engagement down to conversion, and using that data to make the call on what to keep, cut, or optimize.
•
Hands-on experience owning influencer, creator, or UGC programs, including sourcing, briefing, and negotiating with creators.
•
A strong eye and ear for what makes content work: hooks, pacing, sound, trends, and platform-native storytelling.
•
Experience launching a new social channel or content format from the ground up.
•
Comfort being both strategist and maker, equally at home shooting and editing content as building a content plan.
•
Deep, current fluency in platform best practices and a genuine habit of staying plugged into what’s happening online.
•
Strong analytical instincts, able to read performance data and turn it into next moves.
•
A self-directed, go-getter approach. You spot the opportunity and move on it without waiting to be told.
Benefits
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Pay: $82,000 - $100,000 per annum
