About the company
Cerro Flow Products LLC
As a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings—which is backed by Berkshire Hathaway—you’ll be doing things that matter, leading at every level, and winning a better way. We’re committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone’s empowered to be their best.
About the role
Second-line supervisor responsible for assigning and coordinating the work in a manufacturing department. Supervises hourly employees, maintains log of shift operations. Prepares daily time sheets for hourly employees, production summaries, overtime and downtime reports. The head of the function is not reported in this position even if he/she is a first-line supervisor.
Lead Lane One — Safely, Smoothly, and On Target
At Cerro Flow Products, a Marmon Holdings company backed by Berkshire Hathaway, people make the difference. We’re looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead our Lane One team — someone who leads from the floor, puts safety first, and takes pride in hitting production targets with a team that trusts them.
Lane One is a dedicated section of our Sauget plant, and its supervisor owns the day-to-day work that happens there: the people, the schedule, the material flow, and the safety of everyone on the line.
What You’ll Do
As the Lane One Production Supervisor, you’ll be the go-to leader for your area — keeping work organized, people trained and supported, and the line running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
•
Assigning and coordinating all work on the Lane One production line(s), making sure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
•
Implementing production schedules, methods, and processes, and allocating manpower and equipment to meet production targets.
•
Planning work schedules and staffing levels so the area is adequately covered.
•
Organizing material flow and inventory, and making sure your team has the tools, equipment, and materials it needs.
•
Supervising and training production staff, including training new employees on jobs in your area.
•
Monitoring work performance and giving timely, constructive feedback to improve productivity and quality.
•
Owning the safety of your team: enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular area inspections, and addressing hazards or unsafe practices promptly.
•
Coordinating with other departments and shifts to keep work flowing smoothly.
•
Identifying operational and personnel issues and proposing solutions and improvements to the production process.
•
Maintaining accurate records of production, safety incidents, and employee performance, and preparing reports as required by management.
•
Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Gain
At Cerro Flow, you’ll find more than a job — you’ll build a long-term career with a stable organization that invests in its leaders.
When you join our team, you’ll gain:
•
Competitive pay based on experience.
•
Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and more.
•
401(k) with company match to help you prepare for the future.
•
Long-term stability with a global organization backed by Berkshire Hathaway.
•
Real ownership of your area — a defined section of the plant where your leadership shows up directly in the results.
•
Room to make things better in a decentralized organization that values people with the aptitude, attitude, and entrepreneurial spirit to improve how work gets done.
•
A team-oriented environment that values safety, problem-solving, and follow-through.
•
The chance to make a direct impact by developing the people who keep a world-class manufacturing operation running.
