The 1st Assistant Golf Professional will support and oversee all aspects of golf operations, including staff coordination, guest services, facility management, retail, events, and instruction, while ensuring exceptional service standards and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Support the management of the entire golf operation, including daily activities and staff coordination.
· Assist the Head Golf Professional with assigned duties across all operational areas.
· Oversee facility usage and golf course play, ensuring proper tee sheet management, player registration, fee collection, and adherence to course rules.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of retail spaces, bag room, and golf cart facilities.
· Ensure efficient golf cart operations, including washing, repairs, storage, and distribution.
· Respond promptly to guest concerns, resolving issues professionally.
· Act appropriately in emergency or safety situations.
· Manage starting times and marshal play on the course.
· Enforce course rules and regulations for players and golf cart usage.
· Organize and execute golf outings, tournaments, and special events.
· Maintain service levels consistent with established standards.
· Conduct PGA programs such as Play Golf America and PGA Junior Golf League.
· Serve as the point person for golf systems, including Visage GPS, GolfNow OpenCourse Tee Time System, and MICROS Symphony POS.
· Provide golf instruction, clinics, and lessons using teaching aids and technology such as TrackMan.
· Assist with retail merchandising, receiving, inventory control, and related tasks.
· Ensure retail areas meet brand standards for presentation and cleanliness.
· Train, motivate, and supervise employees to meet brand standards and hold them accountable.
· Collaborate with other departments for meetings, training sessions, and educational programs.
