Louisville, Kentucky is the 29th largest city in the nation, proud of our Kentucky Derby and bourbon heritage, and offers the perfect blend of small town charm and cosmopolitan advantages. The city has a thriving arts and sports community, world-class health facilities, nationally recognized schools, a scenic waterfront, and superb restaurants with James Beard award-winning chefs, historic homes, and a quality of life that is the envy of many larger metropolitan centers.
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is committed to creating equitable and inclusive campus environments that accelerate the success of the full range of our students, residents, fellows and employees. We believe that employees who feel valued and respected will create policies, programs, practices, research agendas, and services to effectively meet the needs and exceed the expectations of the increasingly diverse students we hope to admit and the patient populations we serve.
