What this role is all about
Strong financial operations help support smooth hotel experiences for both guests and team members. As an Accounting Clerk, you’ll support day-to-day accounting and finance operations while helping maintain accuracy, organization, and operational efficiency across the property.
This role is perfect for someone who’s detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working with numbers, reporting, and administrative processes in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You’ll support hotel finance teams with data entry, reconciliations, invoice processing, reporting, and operational accounting tasks that help keep hotel operations running smoothly behind the scenes.
If you’re dependable, analytical, and passionate about hospitality operations — we’d love to meet you.
What you’ll be doing

Support daily accounting operations including invoice processing, data entry, filing, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial record maintenance.
•
Assist with preparing reports, spreadsheets, operational documentation, and accounting records accurately and efficiently.
•
Review invoices, receipts, expense reports, and financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
•
Support cash handling processes, deposits, billing updates, account tracking, and operational finance activities as needed.
•
Maintain organized accounting files, records, audit documentation, and operational financial systems.
•
Assist with month-end close processes, reconciliations, operational reporting, and financial deadlines.
•
Partner closely with Finance leadership and hotel departments to support operational accuracy and smooth financial processes.
•
Respond professionally to vendor inquiries, billing questions, and internal operational requests.
•
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling financial and employee information.
•
Support audits, inventory reviews, payroll support, purchasing documentation, and additional accounting projects as needed.
•
Help foster a collaborative, organized, and business-focused culture aligned with Sonesta’s People People philosophy.
•
Any other duties as assigned.
