About the role
Amazon is looking for a results-driven people leader to build and lead a Seller Recruiting team in Egypt dedicated to growing Amazon.sa, Amazon’s marketplace in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will lead a team of account managers and selection specialists who recruit, launch and grow Saudi sellers and bring their selection online.
You will own your team’s results end to end. You will set the territory sales plan, hire and develop talent, put mechanisms in place that let a cross-border team deliver as one with Saudi stakeholders, and reinvent how seller recruiting is done by using data and AI throughout the team’s workflow. You will work across Seller Services and other Amazon teams, contribute to business reviews and planning, and turn seller insights into improvements to Amazon’s tools and programs. If you enjoy building teams, raising the bar and scaling a business with new ways of working, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
• Lead the communication and onboarding of complex, high-potential accounts in the portfolio to generate sales revenue.
• Own delivery of the team’s selection and seller acquisition goals, consistently and with limited oversight.
• Develop the sales plan for your territory and categories. Identify and prioritize new lead sources and segment opportunities, and may influence strategy beyond your territory.
• Give accurate weekly forecasts and business updates. Write inputs to WBRs, QBRs, the annual operating plan (OP1) and deep-dive documents.
• Coordinate Amazon resources and work with Riyadh-based and other Amazon teams to remove operational blockers, address seller objections and improve processes.
• Design and roll out AI-enabled workflows for the team (prospect research, outreach, content creation, listing QA, seller insights) and measure their impact on productivity and quality.
• Find recurring seller pain points, dig into root causes and bring clear recommendations to product and program teams.
• Coordinate end-to-end communication across the extended Amazon team so the Egypt-based team stays closely aligned with the Saudi business.
People leadership
• Hire, onboard and develop the team. Apply a high bar for performance and the Leadership Principles in every hiring decision.
• Set clear expectations and launch plans for new hires, and track their ramp-up.
• Set individual goals that add up to team and department goals. Hold team members accountable and run performance improvement processes when needed.
• Coach regularly through observation, call shadowing and feedback to grow each person’s functional skills and leadership capability. Lead promotion documents for your team.
• Give input to resource and staffing plans.
• Communicate a clear vision for the team and build a culture of ownership, customer obsession and continuous improvement.
