Physician Assistant (PA) – Adult Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation - Rotating Shifts
We are expanding our team of Physician Assistants in the Adult Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
Our inpatient rehabilitation unit cares for patients who require intensive, multidisciplinary rehabilitation following serious illness, injury, or complex medical interventions. Common patient populations include individuals recovering from stroke, amputation, cancer and its treatments, ventricular assist device implantation, prolonged hospitalization, and solid organ transplantation, including heart, lung, kidney, and multi-organ transplants.
As a member of our collaborative, patient-centered care team, you will work alongside Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physicians, nurses, care coordinators, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to develop, coordinate, and implement comprehensive treatment plans. You will play a key role in managing medically complex patients, promoting functional recovery, and facilitating successful transitions from the hospital to the community.
Working within a multi-physician PM&R practice, you will provide high-quality, physician-led collaborative care while exercising an appropriate level of clinical autonomy. Your commitment to patient safety, quality, and excellence in care delivery will be essential to supporting this unique rehabilitation population.
