Phoenix Metals is hiring an experienced Laser Machine Operator for our second-shift production team. In this role, you will set up and operate laser-cutting equipment, interpret blueprints and work orders, inspect finished materials, and help keep production running safely and efficiently.

What You Will Do
•
Set up and operate laser-cutting machines safely and efficiently.
•
Review blueprints, work orders, tooling instructions, and other specifications to understand job requirements.
•
Select and position the correct material according to the work order.
•
Choose appropriate nozzles and set cutting speeds, feeds, depth, and other processing specifications.
•
Evaluate materials, dimensions, tolerances, surface conditions, defects, and operational sequences.
•
Measure and inspect completed pieces using calipers, micrometers, scales, squares, and other precision tools.
•
Perform required in-process and finished-product quality inspections.
•
Identify equipment or processing problems, make routine adjustments, and remove scrap from the machine.
•
Complete production, quality, and work-order documentation accurately.
•
Move, restock, label, and stage materials for additional processing or shipping.
•
Clean equipment and work areas according to established maintenance and housekeeping procedures.
•
Follow all applicable safety, quality, and operating standards.

The role regularly requires standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, using hands and fingers to operate equipment, and performing repetitive movements. Team members must be able to communicate effectively, visually inspect materials and finished work, and safely lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds continuously.
