About the role
The Paramedic provides technical assistance and performs selected acts, including the administration of treatments, under the supervision of the ER Physician and/or Registered Nurse. The Paramedic is accountable for his/her own actions. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Essential Functions
•
Ensure patient and personal safety throughout care procedures.
•
Conducts patient re-assessments as necessary.
•
Establishes IV access and administers normal saline.
•
Interprets ECG readings accurately.
•
Administers medication.
Requirements
•
Graduate of an accredited Paramedic Program
•
Active Florida Paramedic license
•
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
